Out of the Wild!...and right back in. Chapter 1

Well, Hogan and I and Derek and Preston made it into camp around dark. Preston drove the Quad in and like a young man will do at times, didnt heed his Dad's warning to leave the key in the ignition. ep, you guessed it...he lost it before we had camp set up and spent the next 3 days looking for it. Monday morning I suggested we remove the key cylandar, which we did, and the quad was back in action. We hunted/hiked like none other putting on at least 15 miles in the high country.

Well, we had a decent camp setup in my favorite spot on earth. With one flaw...we forgot

COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT???????? Calm down now, think, hmm..

well Derek had 3 precious "Folgers" coffee singles, (teabags).

Luckily, I brought the ole' camp espresso maker and we "enjoyed" a very limited few cups of the roast.

We did eat well. As I said, we hunted our tails off. My back was ripping! I took some good naps.
It was hot and the Bucks were snoozin in the willows, Derek had to take Preston back and was a little weak on comming back up. It was a little ruff getting out of there....we took some damage...

On the way home I learned that a big storm was coming in and as it is the last weekend, I am headin up in the morning. More to come...
