Elliott Sadler and the No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge team recorded a ninth-place finish at the Michigan International Speedway on Sunday. The ninth place finish is the No. 19 team’s sixth top-10 finish of the season and second top-10 in the last four starts.
While Sadler ran virtually the whole race inside the top-10, he was ultimately unable to deliver the “Racing for a Miracle” $1 million charitable donation to the Children’s Miracle Network that Stanley had promised on behalf of the Ace Hardware Foundation.
He may not have won the $1 Million, but Sadler definitely showed his support for the Children's Miracle Network this weekend. In addition to displaying the CMN Logo on his No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge during the race , Sadler visited Sparrow Children’s Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, a Children's Miracle Network hospital.
In Elliott's own words:
This weekend was amazing on so many fronts that I thought I could try to share some of them with you. First, we arrived in Michigan early on Thursday to take part in a hospital visit at Sparrow Children’s Hospital in Lansing with the folks from Stanley and the Children’s Miracle Network. It was such a cool deal. We presented Adam Petrowitz, the winner of the Stanley helmet design contest, an autographed copy of the helmet design and gave his family a VIP trip to their first NASCAR race. Then we raced remote controlled cars with the kids around the hospital. To be honest with you I thought I was going to take it easy on them, but in the end they kicked my butt! It was a really good time. We later went to visit one-on-one with some of the kids who were unable to join us. It is really something to see how brave these kids are and to have the chance to sit and talk with them was definitely the highlight of my weekend.
Stanley still donated $100,000 to the Children’s Miracle Network, so I am glad we were able to give them something even if we came up a little short on our end.

The above article was taken from the article I recieved on Stanley email today.
Boys and Girls, the sport Mom and I love is full of stories like this. Every driver gives back in a big way, all the time. There are so many charities in NASCAR, each driver has his own pretty much. Its cool that Stanley got into the picture like this.....
almost makes it all worth it. ...
